Singing Career
Considered a "natural" Soprano Two by her voice coaches, Bonnie began singing at the age of five, and professionally at the age of seventeen. She was selected from among 90 candidates as lead singer for the band Liar in her very first competitive audition. This led to a number of lead vocalist stints with bands that included Romance, Strutter, Executive Suite, Fantasy, and The Infernos. During this time, she established a large and loyal following on the club circuit in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Among her keynote performances, Bonnie opened the show at Neil's New Yorker prior to a performance of Phantom of the Opera, and with Strutter, sang at a military show in Fort Dix before a wildly appreciative audience of more than 800 men and 200 women. Continually expanding her repertoire, Bonnie is equally comfortable with Top 40, Rhythm and Blues, Country and Swing. "Her voice is a soulful combination of Shania Twain and Celine Dion.", says long-time friend and noted performer, Pat Gallo. "Aside from technical perfection, Bonnie's voice will tug at your heart, because she sings from the heart." Presently, Bonnie performs twice weekly at Goodfella's in Garfield with Jimmy Sabini, popular keyboard artist, arranger and producer. |
